Sutcky et al. (1996) are unable to correlate the zones represented by magnetic polarity data for the Sand Wash Basin with certainty, but in any event, their sections do not include Locality 3

Habitat comments: in the southeastern part of the basin yielding the fauna, "the sediment seems considerably finer, shows relatively less channelling, and floodplain and lacustrine sediments are predominant"
"deposited in a margial lacustrine-fluvial setting" according to Stucky et al. (1996)
